Gabriel Brooks, MD, MAS, FACC, VP Translational Research and Development at 4D Molecular Therapeutics (Emeryville, CA) is a cardiologist, non-invasive cardiac imaging specialist clinician-scientist with expertise in cardiovascular therapeutic and diagnostic drug development. He graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College medical school and undertook residency in Johns Hopkins Hospital. At the University of California San Francisco, he completed clinical cardiology, multi-modality cardiac imaging and research fellowships as well as obtaining a Master’s degree in biostatistics and epidemiology. Over the past decade, he has led a number of cardiovascular clinical development programs including large phase 2 and 3 clinical trials in both large market and rare disease indications. Previously, he was a Medical Director at General Electric Life Sciences where he was responsible clinical trial design and oversight as well as new product development.
Gabriel holds dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has held a post as an Assistant Clinical Professor, at UCSF, has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has been the recipient of numerous grants including those from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the American Heart Association, Heart Failure Society of America and NIH.
